CONTINUED SEARCH FOR A NEW PRESIDENT:

Since the departure of our last president Mr. Brandon Jones, the club has been struggling to find a new face to lead and help out.  I want to say that being a president of THIS club, isn’t that demanding.  If you were interested, it’s more of a representation to the school meetings that this role is dignified. I don’t ask that you attend every meeting, or do a bunch of work.  Just help out around the edges, help with this blog, email to folks, drop into a feel Presidential Council Meetings with the other club presidents etc.  So if oyu are interested, like to help organize, and can squeek it in your schedule, we could use the help.  The job comes with a letter of recommendation from me personally when you need it.  Drop me a line at treyness@treygallaher.com .

PLEIN-AIR PAINTING FIELD TRIP

It’s been a couple of quarters since our last outing as a club.  Anybody interested in Saturday trip out to the Marin Headlands or Golden Gate Park for a Plein-Air painting excursion this quarter?  We should probably do it before the weather starts to turn to cold and rainy.  Fall days are the best days for weather in this here fair city!  Lets do it people.

NEW GALLERY PROJECT, IDEAS STARTING

I would like to get a new Gallery Project started again, doing something with Vehicles and Transportation Devices this time.  So if you want in on this show slated for next spring or summer, come by the club and sign-up and throw your ideas into the pot.  This club has had great success in the gallery, and I would like to maintain the tradition and our reputation by showing at least once a year (maybe twice).  Good resume builder and experience too.

TUTORING THURSDAYS LIFE DRAWING WORKSHOPS

This quarter, in leu of a fifth class, Trey Gallaher is sittin-in and tutoring the THURSDAY Life-Drawing Workshops.  Not instructing, but tutoring… so if you need help with perpsective, observational, anatomy, or gesture I’ll be sittin in with Shayla and the gang on Thursdays only from 4:30-8:30 in the following locations.

• weeks 2-5  room 318 in the Main Bldg.

• weeks 6-10 room 910 in the Trinity Bldg.

QUICKLY CHECK OUT THE “NOW AND THEN” SHOW

The show is still up for another week, so check it out in the Main Gallery before it somes down.  Some great work by our club members.  Don’t miss it!

Thats all for now… check back for updates and news about the VIZLUB!

keep drawing people, and see ya on Wednesday.
